Both gentlemen have diverse and profoundly interesting backgrounds, which intersect in many areas, the most significant being the illuminated science, philosophy, and teachings of Dr. Walter (an American polymath, born in 1871) and his wife, Lao Russell. Matt and Robert discuss their views and Walter Russell's views on consciousness, the universe, meditation and creation, as well as the “cosmic Light universe of knowing and the electric wave universe of sensing.” Walter posited that the universe was founded on a unifying principle of rhythmic balanced interchange. This physical theory, laid out primarily in his books The Secret of Light (1947) and The Message of the Divine Iliad (1948-49), has not been accepted by mainstream scientists.
