Music has the power to bring people together, building bridges between cultures by a common language. In a world that is fracturted and fragmented, pried apart and polarized, its the musician who stitiches it back together with harmony, melody and rhythm as the golden thread. World music, a term used to describe a form of music that uses elements form different musical traditions emerged in the 80s when artists like Peter Gabriela and Brian Eno began to tap into African music and fusing it with synths and experimental soundscapes. Todays guest, Kenji Wiliiams continues in that tradition and takes it into the 21st Century. Kenji is a multi-instrumentalist, but is classicaly trained on the violin, which he uses as his main instrument in "Bella Gaia" a multi-media journey into various cultures and people from around the globe. "Bella Gaia" has been seen by scores of people around the world and its inspriing message is one of unity and oneness, amidst a deeply moving and shimmering soundscape that combines sacred dance with gorgeous sets and stunning imagery.
